Membership Options

Below are details on the different membership options.  If you have any questions or issues with your application, please contact us at the link below.

Requirements

Able to commit to actively participating in Center activities and on Center committees. For example, committees will evaluate pilot projects, prioritize Center goals, and serve as ambassadors for advancing the Center’s mission.
Upon request, present your work on behalf of the Center at symposia and center meetings (e.g., the Annual Jonas Center External Scientific Advisory Board meeting).
Must be a clinician or scientist holding a faculty appointment at the University of Chicago

Evidence of continuous, active, scholarly productivity in a form such as:

  • Cellular therapy-related, peer-reviewed funding from a national funding agency;
  • Significant contribution to clinical research such as serving as PI on trials, writing investigator-initiated trials, enrolling large numbers of patients onto clinical trials, and contributing significantly on publications involving clinical trials;
  • Publications in cellular therapy-relevant journals as a major contributing author;
  • Extensive collaboration with, and intellectual contribution to, the cellular therapy-focused research of other members
Clear and sustained commitment to participate in the collaborative research, clinical and/or education programs of the Center, including cross-campus and inter-institutional activities is expected

 Benefits

Access to the Jonas Center’s infrastructure including clinical, laboratory, and administrative resources.  This includes access to a member’s only website with data, slides, and other valuable resources.

Receive invitation to special seminars, symposium, and other exclusive networking and educational events including:

  • Monthly Research Seminar
  • Annual Scientific Retreat
  • Free registration and opportunity to present at the Annual Jonas Center Symposium’s national conference featuring the Janet Rowley Lecture.
Opportunity to apply for pilot project funding.
Include membership on your CV and email signature.

 Expectations

Participation in relevant Research Program’s activities (e.g., seminars, workshops, retreats, journal clubs, etc.)
Interact with members such as through collaborative grants, publications, trials, etc.
Compliance with all policies and procedures
Provide and annually maintain an individual investigator research profile
Be willing to accept administrative responsibilities commensurate with membership classification, including service and/or leadership roles on center task forces and committees
Be willing to provide copies of related grant/contract applications to facilitate center planning for research programs and other multidisciplinary initiatives
Provide periodic progress reports of relevant investigative work as requested

Requirements

Must be a clinician, scientist, or trainee at the University of Chicago

Evidence of active, scholarly productivity in a form such as:

  • Cellular therapy-related laboratory research;
  • Contribution to clinical research such as serving as co-PI on trials, contributing to the development of investigator-initiated trials
  • Contributing to publications on cellular therapy as a contributing author;
  • Collaboration with, and intellectual contribution to, the cellular therapy-focused research of other members
Interest in participating in the collaborative research, clinical and/or education programs of the center, including cross-campus and inter-institutional activities is expected

Expectations

Compliance with all policies and procedures
Provide and annually maintain an individual investigator research profile
Provide periodic progress reports of relevant investigative work as requested.

Requirements

Upon request, able to present your work at symposia and center meetings (e.g., the Annual Jonas Center External Scientific Advisory Board meeting).

Staff at the University of Chicago with:

  • 1-year of tenure for a clinician in an active patient-facing role with TCT patients; or,
  • 2-years of tenure supporting the TCT program
Interest  in furthering the Center’s mission
